Our collection of butyl profiles are made of EPDM, The industry became used to calling these profiles butyl because of the origin of its use. Butyl rubber was used in this application to seal in windscreens before EPDM was readily available but over the years we have developed a profile made of more hardy rubber, but the old name butyl remains.
